Meditating on Paradoxes

What is, isn't.

What isn't, is.

Paradox is defined as:

"a statement or a concept that is,

or seems to be,

self-contradictory"

(Source: grammar-monster)

Well, this fascination with paradoxes surfaced, only because I wrote this article today:

"The Paradox of the End Times"

And then I realized I had enumerated at least five paradoxes on that post:

The more things don't make sense,

the more they make sense.

What you think isn't, is.

What you thought is, isn't.

Those who know, don't.

Those who don't, know.

The more fantastic your story,

the more kids believe you.

Just when you think nothing is happening,

something is happening.

When you think a lot is happening,

nothing is happening.

Now, for me to ponder on those things, to see if they are really true.

Words are my toys, sorry.

I love word play.

The Bible does, too.

Being a born again writer magnifies my excitement, and enjoyment, at discovering God's treasures in Scripture.

So much so, the Holy Spirit and I created 21 blogs already.

And today, I got intrigued by paradoxes.

For, it seems, there's more truth to what seems to be self-contradictory statements.

Need I be surprised?

Jesus is the Word of God.

Revelation 19:13

King James Version

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:

and his name is called The Word of God.

He knows all the words, and their contradictions, for He is the author of the Word.

And because the Holy Spirit is my teacher on Jesus, I am fed all these glorious ideas about words that must serve God alone.

If you have not thought about it yet, now is the right time to meditate upon paradoxes.

See the truth in it.

More importantly, test it against Scripture.

What does God say about it?

Are paradoxes true?

Do they make sense?

What paradoxical statement have you come up with?

You will find, that this mental and spiritual gymnastics, is a most fun thing to ponder on.

It stretches your heart, mind, and spirit.

For my part, I use words to serve God alone.

That's respect for the Word -- JESUS.
